Let The Nightmare Begin

The Derbyshire villages of Hadfield and Tintwistle nestle at the foot of the Longdendale valley bordering the Peak District National Park. Visitors might expect to find a booming tourist industry here, with the area acting as a base for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers to explore the valley.

However they would be bitterly disappointed. For meandering along the riverbank (what's left of it) they will witness the hideous spectacle of a myriad of colossol grey tins sheds, along with hundreds of huge concrete pods in open storage, courtesy of S.C.C.

This is because the Planning Department of High Peak Borough Council (HPBC), under the leadership of Chief Planner Adrian Fisher have wreaked devastation and degeneration on the area in the name of 'regeneration' and job creation.

Since today is April 1st I would like to take this opportunity to send April Greetings to all the fools past and present on the Development and (lack of) Control Committee of HPBC .

To all the councillors, 'planners' and developers who have ever lent their support to the creation of the monstrosity known as Rossington Park, I offer my utterly insincere and entirely sarcastic congratulations. Think of this blog as a tribute to your mind numbing stupidity.

I hereby give due notice that this blogspot 'Nightmare On Rossington Park' has been well and truly launched and that from henceforth your actions will be monitored and blogged to the world.

Over the coming weeks and months readers will be able to feast on tales of incompetence and view pictures of the hellhole known as 'The Nightmare On Rossington Park '.
